About This Product
This is a double vinyl LP pressing of 72 Seasons by Metallica marks the band's first full-length release of new material since 2016's Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. Produced by Greg Fidelman alongside James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, the 12-track album spans over 77 minutes and will be available in various formats, including 2LP 140g black vinyl, limited edition variants, CD, and digital. The album is introduced by the single "Lux Æterna," a powerful three-and-a-half-minute track that encapsulates 40 years of Metallica's legacy. The concept of 72 Seasons, as explained by Hetfield, revolves around the formative first 18 years of life that shape our true or false selves, exploring how early experiences influence our perception of the world and whether we remain prisoners of childhood or break free from those constraints.
