TAMA began manufacturing drums in 1965 under the name "Star Drums", and Star continues to be used in the names of TAMA's drum models to this day. TAMA was one of the first manufacturers to offer super heavy-duty hardware and drum mounting systems that did not intrude into the shell. TAMA's drums and hardware are world renowned as among the best available.
With a TAMA Superstar Hyper-Drive Snare as part of your kit, your audience will hear your every note. Hyper-Drive drums feature a unique combination of modern and traditional, with an all Maple shell, and black nickel plated die-cast hoops and shell hardware.
