About This Product
This vinyl LP pressing of "Rock N Roll Star!" by David Bowie features a compilation of alternative takes and mixes from the recording of "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars," including unreleased versions of “Lady Stardust,” “Shadow Man,” and an up-tempo take on The Who’s “I Can’t Explain.” The original album, celebrated for shattering boundaries and expanding cultural horizons, remains one of the most electrifying and brilliant works ever produced. Dubbed the first post-modern pop record, "Ziggy Stardust" cleverly blends rock history references with a futuristic narrative of extraterrestrial intervention and space-age androgyny, making it a concept album without an overt concept.
