New for 2023, the Fender Custom Shop introduces the Limited Edition Reverse '50s Telecaster Relic, with a two-piece select ash offset seam body for a lively, resonant guitar with balanced highs and sweet midrange, hand-wound pickups with a twist and an incredible Relic finish in Aged Cimarron Red, Aged White Blonde, Aged Black and Burnt Copper Metallic. With fine finish checking all over the body and scars, dings and dents from the lower bout up the neck, the Relic treatment tells a story of an authentically worn-in guitar that has seen years of playing in clubs and bars.
Hand-wound '50-'51 Blackguard pickups (with a reverse angle bridge pickup) deliver sought-after early-'50s Telecaster tones with clear, smooth highs and exceptionally well-balanced mids and lows, while the reverse control plate houses Modified Nocaster® Wiring for added versatility.
Other premium features include one-piece rift sawn maple neck with '57 style soft "V" back-shape, 7.25" to 9.5" vintage compound radius, 21 medium vintage (47095) frets, single-ply parchment pickguard, reverse angle Nocaster® bridge with RSD compensated brass saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut, disc string tree, deluxe hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity.
